Our client is seeking a passionate individual for their MICE business department, responsible for planning and delivering events.
This role will include daytime and on occasions evening and/or weekend work, so they are looking for someone flexible and understanding to the needs of the VIP Tours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project management of MICE business events and activations from RFPs conception to delivery.
- To curate events, plan logistics and work with suppliers
- Liaise effectively and concisely with all parties involved with the Event from Clients to Suppliers.
- Ensure the Event and subsequent bookings are managed, valued, and amended in a timely manner.
- Ensure all clients are provided with the highest service as per the set standards, exceeding customer expectations.
- Take full responsibility and accountability for the planning and execution of client events.
- Customer focused and financially astute to achieve company and client objectives.
- Understand and deliver all contractual terms with clients and suppliers
- Ensure that all costing and plans for events meet budgetary and client requirements.
- Liaise with the client to ensure the continual development of the partnership
- Implement budget, invoicing and logistics
- Select and negotiate with vendors and monitoring their activities to ensure quality control
- Resolve problems and guest inquiries before, during and after the event
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 1 years' experience in a previous MICE Event role (either for a UK Inbound Travel agency and/or tour operator only).
- A good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland and their best venues, hotels and restaurants is very important.
- Must be fluent in English and Italian both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of negotiating and contracting venues, restaurants, hotels and team building activities.
- Candidates must be Computer literate to enable use of company commercial system (Tour Plan), Use of P.C. - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Tour Plan, Trip Creator, Canva and Mailchimp are a plus.
